A little about who we are, why this hub exists, and how it can help you settle into Contoso.
A warm welcome
Welcome to Contoso! Whether you're joining us at our head office, Contoso House, another UK site, or working from home, we're really glad you're here. This hub was put together by the People Team to make your first few weeks as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Contoso has grown from a small start-up founded in 2005 into an established company — but one thing has stayed the same: our belief that people who like what they do, do it better. This hub is part of how we try to live up to that from your very first day.
What this hub is for
To give every new colleague one friendly, easy place to find the things they need early on — without having to hunt around or remember who to ask. It pulls together the essentials of your first week, pay and benefits, systems and IT, and our culture.

Who looks after new starters?
Your induction is supported by a few friendly groups of people. You're never expected to figure it all out alone.

Our leadership
Contoso is led by an experienced executive team who set the direction for the company while keeping our people-first culture front and centre. Our Chief Executive Officer is Alex Morgan, who joined Contoso early in their career, worked across several parts of the business, and stepped up to lead the company as CEO. Alex is a familiar face to colleagues — you'll often see updates from the CEO on the Hub and at company-wide briefings, and a recurring theme is simple: if we look after our people, they'll look after our customers.
The CEO is supported by a senior leadership team covering the main areas of the business — including Finance, Technology, People (HR) and Customer. Contoso has grown steadily since 2005 into an established company, and remains proudly headquartered at Contoso House.
Your first few weeks
- Before you start — We'll be in touch with joining details and what to bring on day one.
- Day one — Arrive, meet your team and buddy, collect your ID badge and get your laptop set up.
- Week one — Induction sessions, meet key people, and find your way around the essentials.
- First month — Settle into your role, book your holiday, and explore staff networks and socials.
- Ongoing — Regular catch-ups with your People Manager as you grow into the role.
